SKELETAL MUSCLE STRAIN RESULTING FROM FENCING COMPETITION IN ELITE FENCERS

Information about skeletal muscle strain in fencing is limited. The objective of this study was to examine the muscle strain resulting from fencing competition by monitoring plasma creatine kinase (CK). The heart rate (HR) and blood lactate during fencing competition were examined also. Twelve national level female fencers participated in the study.
