Abstract
Language skills include listening, speaking, reading and writing are the main goals in learning Arabic language, so that in the teaching required a good system for learning activities to be effective and fun. As one of the basic elements in the curriculum component, textbooks in grades have an important position in the success of the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this research are: 1) Making Arabic teaching materials based on al-kulii approach with specialization of qiro'ah and kitabah materials. 2) to know the effectiveness of teaching materials developed. Research methodology used in this research is research and development, because this research aims to produce teaching materials and know the level of validity of experts and the level of effectiveness of its implementation in the field. To subjek research as many as 36 students, and data collection methods used are obervasi, interviews, questionnaires, and tests data processing using descriptive and statistical techniques. The results of this study are as follows: 1) an Arabic textbook based on the al-kulli approach of three (3) chapters, each chapter consisting of 8 (eight) main discussions including: qiro'ah jahriyah, qiro'ah shomitah , kitabah muwajjahah, qiro'ah muwajjahah, qiro'ah musytarikah, kitabah shohifah, qiro'ah mustaqillah, and kitabah mustaqillah. And textbooks that have been compiled are valid after validated by experts with the first 92% validator results with very good value and validator to 89% both with good value. 2) Textbook developed effectively in improving student ability of second semester (two) in learning of qiro'ah and kitabah of arabic language, this is proved by t value in this research (3,911) bigger than t table (2.04) at 5% significance rate
