Abstract
Currently, societies around the world are facing the negative externalities of industrialized agriculture. We are faced with an environmental and social collapse that has affected all human groups. Even though the impact levels are different for each social context, we are all indigenous peoples, in the sense of vulnerability face of water scarcity, temperature increasing, Covid-19 Pandemic. Guided by anthropology, we seek in this text to discuss the extent to industrialized agriculture, which has become hegemonic in Western, is just one of the possible ways of cultivate and understand agriculture. We believe that agriculture patterns defense is based on each society’s culture. In this sense, Anthropology helps us to understand that other ways of cultivating and inhabiting the planet are possible and viable.Atualmente, as sociedades ao redor do mundo têm enfrentado as externalidade negativas da agricultura industrializada. Deparamo-nos com um colapso ambiental e social que tem afetado a todos os grupos humanos. Mesmo que os níveis do impacto sejam diferentes para cada contexto social, somos todos povos autóctones, no sentido da vulnerabilidade diante da escassez hídrica, do aumento da temperatura, da Pandemia de Covid-19. Pautados pela Antropologia, buscamos nesse texto discutir em que medida a agricultura industrializada, que se tornou hegemônica no ocidente, é apenas uma forma de se fazer e entender a agricultura. Trata-se de acreditar que a defesa deste ou daquele modo de fazer agricultura tem como base a cultura de cada sociedade. Nesse sentido, a Antropologia ajuda-nos a compreender que outras formas de cultivar e habitar o planeta são possíveis e viáveis
