Este artigo objetiva passar em revista os protestos e as greves rurais na agroindústria
açucareira de Pernambuco, Brasil, no período compreendido aos anos de 1964
a 1968, e levantar algumas questões sobre o processo de reestruturação do movimento
sindical rural após a instauração da ditadura militar no Brasil em 1964.The objective of this article is to re-examine the rural protests and strikes in the sugar industry in Pernambuco, Brazil, between the years 1964 and 1968, and to raise
certain issues regarding the process of reorganizing the rural trade union movement
