Abstract
This work proposes a study on two recurrent themes in the narrative of Juan Marsé (1933-2020): memory and cinematography in a specific story: “Historia de detectives”. The short stories and novels of the Catalan author are usually based on his own experiences during the post-war period, but also on what he saw, read, heard and imagined. For this reason, in addition to his wanderings through the streets of Barcelona, his work incorporates elements from books, comics and films that merge with his memories sifted through the years. In this article we will discuss the way in which certain discursive strategies typical of the seventh art, as well as some of its characters, become part of this tale.Este trabajo propone un estudio sobre dos temas recurrentes en la narrativa de Juan Marsé (1933-2020): la memoria y la cinematografía en un cuento concreto: “Historia de detectives”. Los relatos y las novelas del autor catalán suelen abrevar de sus propias vivencias durante la época de la posguerra, pero también de lo visto, leído, escuchado e imaginado. Por ello, además de sus andanzas por las calles de Barcelona, a su obra se incorporan elementos provenientes de libros, cómics y películas que se funden con sus recuerdos tamizados por el paso de los años. En este artículo se tratará la manera en que ciertas estrategias discursivas propias del séptimo arte, así como algunos de sus personajes, pasan a formar parte de este relato
