Abstract

Status and Strategy of Vanila Development in IndonesiaVanilla planifolia Andrews is one of the Orchidaceae families. It has high economi value and has developed in Indonesia. The technology to support vanila development is avalaible. Due to the Vanilla root rot disease which still exists up to now, the research to control the disease is still corried out. The direction is that various challenges should be overcome and opportunity should be found out. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the strategy for vanila development, i.e. the developmen of vanila in suitable area adoption of cultivation technique which improve productivity and efficiency, appropriate planting pattern, and effort to produce variety which is resistant to vanila root ro
