El objetivo de este proyecto es brindar a la comunidad educativa y a quien lo encuentre útil y pertinente, las partituras, análisis morfológico y el comportamiento rítmico de la batería incluyendo su conducta e interacción con los demás instrumentos de las canciones “Crash into me” y “Too much”. Pretendiendo tener un mejor acercamiento y comprensión de la música, es conveniente valerse de herramientas que faciliten su análisis, estudio y observación. Una herramienta es el escuchar, con lo cual obtenemos nuestras propias impresiones y hacemos conclusiones de acuerdo a lo recibido a nivel sonoro. Otra herramienta de alta utilidad es el acceso a partituras y/o análisis musicales, con los que se tiene una descripción escrita que detalla el comportamiento instrumental en las canciones. Estas herramientas fueron empleadas para el presente análisis y permitieron la deducción y reconocimiento de características y patrones en las dos canciones de Dave Matthew´s Band, una agrupación estadounidense que tiene un recorrido de casi tres décadas, con diferentes producciones en las que se plasma la fuerza, versatilidad y creatividad en su música.
Del estudio previo y la búsqueda de material relacionado con el presente trabajo de grado, se localizaron entre otros, libros, artículos web y productos audiovisuales sobre la llegada de la batería al género rock y folk rock, lo cual es relevante para esta investigación puesto que estos son los géneros en los que se desarrolla la discografía de la banda Dave Matthew´s band y su baterista Carter Beauford. Para finalizar éste trabajo se realizará un concierto en el cual mostraré y explicaré los resultados obtenidos en el presente trabajo, esto se hará desglosando e interpretando las dos canciones seleccionadas con la mayor similitud y acercamiento posible a la interpretación del baterista Carter Beauford.The objective of this project is to provide the educational community and those who find it useful and pertinent, the scores, morphological analysis and rhythmic behavior of the drum including their behavior and interaction with the other instruments of the songs "Crash into me" and “Too much. From the previous study and the search for material related to the present work of degree, were located among others, books, web articles and audiovisual products on the arrival of the battery to the rock and folk rock genre, which is relevant for this investigation since these are the genres in which the discography of the band Dave Matthew's band and its drummer Carter Beauford is developed. To finalize this work a concert will be held in which I will show and explain the results obtained in the present work, this will be done by breaking down and interpreting the two selected songs with the greatest similarity and possible approach to the performance of drummer Carter Beauford.N
