Formulation of landscape designs based on ecological restoration for the environmental rehabilitation of the La Laja and El Milagro properties. Eastern hills. Locality of Usaquén
Los Cerros Orientales son de gran importancia ambiental para la ciudad de Bogotá gracias a la amplia
oferta de servicios ecosistémicos que proveen; sin embargo, en ellos se ha evidenciado el avance de
procesos de degradación por lo que se hace necesario recuperar estas áreas. El objetivo de este trabajo
es realizar un diseño paisajístico basado en criterios de restauración ecológica y ajustar el Programa
de Repoblación Vegetal y Paisajística con base a los nuevos términos de referencia de la Secretaría
Distrital de Ambiente (SDA) para el Plan de Manejo, Restauración y Recuperación Ambiental
(PMRRA) de los predios La Laja y El Milagro afectados por actividad extractiva de areniscas. Para
ello, se siguieron los pasos fundamentales de restauración descritos por (Vargas et al., 2007) y los
arreglos florísticos planteados se elaboraron con especies nativas de bosque andino y altoandino, con
un marco de plantación a tresbolillo que permite lograr un óptimo aprovechamiento de las áreas y
recursos disponibles; esto a fin de promover la conectividad con la Reserva Forestal Protectora
Bosque Oriental de Bogotá (RFPBOB) y mitigar los efectos adversos en el impacto visual del paisaje.
Se identificaron remanentes de coberturas naturales dominados por especies pioneras y 772 árboles
de especies nativas, sembradas previamente pero para las cuales no se tuvo en cuenta factores como
el gremio ecológico de estas o diseños de siembra; durante el desarrollo de la pasantía se plantearon
nuevos arreglos florísticos, se establecieron 551 individuos nuevos y será necesario el empleo de
biomantos para el recubrimiento y revegetalización de taludes y el establecimiento de 1292 individuos
más.The Eastern Hills are of great environmental importance for the Bogotá city thanks to the wide range
of ecosystem services they provide; however, it is evident the progress of the degradation processes,
so it is necessary to recover these areas. A landscape design was made based on ecological restoration
criteria and the adjustment of the plant and landscape repopulation program based on the new terms
of reference of the District Secretary of Environment (SDA) for the Environmental Management,
Restoration and Recovery Plan (PMRRA) of the La Laja and El Milagro lands affected by the
extractive activity of minerals. For this, the fundamental restoration steps were followed by (Vargas
et al., 2007) and the proposed floristic arrangements were made with native the Andean and high
Andean forest species and with a quincunx plantation frame that allows optimum use of the available
areas and resources; this for promote connectivity with the Bosque Oriental de Bogotá Protective
Forest Reserve (hereinafter RFPBOB) and mitigate adverse effects on the visual impact of the
landscape. A total of 772 trees planted at the beginning of the internship were identified, during the
development of these 551 new individuals were planted and it will be necessary to establish 1292
more individuals and the implementation of biomanto for the revegetalization and slope coverage
