FAKTOR-FAKTOR HAMBATAN DALAM PERKEMBANGAN BOLA TANGAN DIKALIMANTAN BARAT

Abstract

Handball game is a team game played by throwing and catching the ball with the aim of entering the ball into the opponent's goal, in West Kalimantan the sport of handball is still very low in demand or still underdeveloped, as for what has been an obstacle to the development of handball in West Kalimantan. by researchers with the aim of knowing the inhibiting factors in the development of handball in West Kalimantan. This study is a descriptive study with survey methods while the data collection technique uses questionnaires while the population in this study is athletes and coaches of handball sports throughout West Kalimantan and the sample for this study consists of 10 districts in West Kalimantan. The results showed that from 5 factors, namely athletes, coaches, suggestions/infrastructure and organization and competition, as well as 4 categories, namely very inhibiting, inhibiting, not inhibiting, and very non- inhibiting. Of the 5 factors, the facilities/infrastructure factors that are more dominant or with a level of inhibition of 60% are categorized as inhibiting, and the organizational factor of the level of inhibition of 60% is categorized as inhibiting, the athlete's factor of the level of inhibition is 56% is categorized as inhibiting, the level of coach factor is 57% of the barriers are categorized as inhibiting, and the competition factor of 57% is categorized as inhibiting. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the dominant obstacle to the development of handball in West Kalimantan is the facilities/infrastructure and organizational factors.
