Dynamics of the detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in Yekaterinburg population in the period from june 2020 to february 2021

Abstract

To assess the dynamics of detecting IgG and IgM antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in residents of Yekaterinburg, 7136 patients were examined who applied to the Harmony Medical Center in the period from June 2020 to February 2021. Determination of IgG and IgM to SARS -CoV-2 in the serum of patients was carried out by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using test systems D-5501 "SARS-CoV-2-IgG-ELISA-BEST" and D-5502 "SARS-CoV-2-IgM-ELISA -BEST "according to the manufacturer's instructions. The result of the study was expressed as a coefficient of positivity (CP), the results with a CP of more than 1.1 were considered positive. In the period from June 2020 to February 2021, there was a steady increase in the proportion of people with positive IgG to SARS-CoV-2 among residents of Yekaterinburg: from 6.4% to 69.8%. Two peaks in the detection of persons with positive IgM were identified - at the end of June-beginning of July 2020 and in November-December 2020. The proportion of positive samples during the second peak was 2 times higher than the first and reached 30%. Stable signs of the formation of population immunity to SARS-CoV-2 among residents of Yekaterinburg were noted at the beginning of 2021, when the proportion of people with positive IgG exceeded 50% among all applicants.Для оценки динамики выявления антител классов IgG и IgM к вирусу SARS-CoV-2 у жителей г. Екатеринбурга было обследовано 7136 пациентов, обратившихся в Медицинский центр «Гармония» в период с июня 2020 по февраль 2021 гг.. Определение IgG и IgM к SARS-CoV-2 в сыворотке крови пациентов проводили методом иммуноферментного анализа (ИФА) с использованием тест-систем D-5501 «SARS-CoV-2-IgG-ИФА-БЕСТ» и D-5502 «SARS-CoV-2-IgM-ИФА-БЕСТ» согласно инструкции производителя. Результат исследования выражали в виде коэффициента позитивности (КП), положительным считали результаты с КП более 1,1. В период с июня 2020 по февраль 2021 наблюдали устойчивый рост доли лиц с положительными IgG к SARS-CoV-2 среди жителей г. Екатеринбурга: с 6,4% до 69,8%. Выделено два пика выявления лиц с положительными IgМ – в конце июня-начале июля 2020 и в ноябре-декабре 2020. Доля положительных проб в период второго пика была в 2 раза выше по сравнению с первым и достигала 30%. Устойчивые признаки формирования популяционного иммунитета к SARS-CoV-2 среди жителей г.Екатеринбурга отмечены в начале 2021 года, когда доля лиц с положительными IgG превысила 50% среди всех обратившихся
