Pat Stephens Williams and Ray Darville   For over a hundred years, every major meeting or study on forestry education has pointed out the need for increased focus on people and communication skills. As a matter of fact, the ability to communicate well is so important that it remains as a foremost component of SAF Accreditation. This study began in 1998 looking at how SAF Accredited Baccalaureate programs have juggled their curriculum to meet accreditation and university requirements. This presentation looks at the results in 1998, 2004, 2014 and if and how we have changed the way we have and are meeting these requirements. In addition, the presentation raises questions and the conversation on what we need to be providing for future professionals and whether or not we are meeting that need in our current curriculum.
