The impact of loading silty soil with sugar beet harvester wheels on its physical properties

Abstract

Przedstawiono kształtowanie się właściwości fizycznych gleby po zbiorze buraków cukrowych sześciorzędowym kombajnem Holmer Terra Dos. Glebę badano w warstwach leżących na głębokościach: 5-10, 15-20, 25-30, 35-40, 45-50 i 55-60 cm; przed i po zbiorze buraków (trzy terminy). Właściwości fizyczne oznaczono dla warunków polowych (wilgotność aktualna, gęstość objętościowa, zwięzłość i opór ścinania), przy pF0 (wilgotność wagowa) oraz przy pF2 (wilgotność wagowa i przepuszczalność powietrzna). Stwierdzono, że zastosowanie kombajnu pogorszyło stan fizyczny gleby pylastej w jej warstwie podornej.The work presents the development of soil physical properties after harvesting sugar beets with a six-row Holmer Terra Dos harvester. Soil was examined in layers located at the following depths: 5-10, 15-20, 25-30, 35-40, 45-50 and 55-60 cm; before and after beet harvest (three dates). Physical properties were determined for field conditions (current humidity, volumetric density, compactness and shearing resistance), for pF0 (humidity by weight) and for pF2 (humidity by weight and air permeability).
