Position of the Polish economy according to selected methodologies of innovativeness and competitiveness assessment

Abstract

W artykule dokonano przeglądu wybranych metodyk oceny innowacyjności i konkurencyjności gospodarek opracowanych przez organizacje międzynarodowe: Global Innovation Index (GII), Knowledge Assesment Methodology (KAM), Global Competitiveness Index (GCI). Przedstawiono autorską propozycję wskaźników oceny stanu innowacyjności oraz dokonano analiz poziomu rozwoju polskiej gospodarki z zastosowaniem metodyk międzynarodowych i autorskiej listy wskaźników.The article gives an overview of selected methodologies for the assessment of innovativeness and competitiveness of the economy, that is: Global Innovation Index (GII); Knowledge Assessment Methodology (KAM); Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) developed by international organizations. Also described is an list of original innovativeness indicators and results of analysis of the development stage of the Polish economy based on the international and the proposed methodological approach
