Abstract

Oral Presentation: no. OP9OBJECTIVES: Divalent manganese is a cofactor for soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC), the enzyme producing cyclic GMP in vascular smooth muscle cells that causes relaxation. Manganese competes with magnesium to activate sGC.
