Noise Cancellation Circuit for Reduction of 1/f Noise in CMOS Operational Amplifers

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to examine a new noise cancellation technique for very large scale integration complementary metal oxide semiconductors. A discussion of noise in general is presented first along with the development of low noise circuits presently in use. The noise cancellation technique presented for CMOS VLSI applications is an extension of that derived from chopper stabilization and autozeroed amplifiers. The specific application here is for use in low noise, low cost, hydrophone preamplifiers to be used in SONAR
