In general, the distribution system starts from the substation feeder and
channeled through a conductive wire made of aluminum on the power grid. The
network delivers electric current from a considerable distance, so that the voltage
and current are loss too much. Along with the times, power consumption also
increases, so the number of the missing voltage will affect the power supply
which serve the load.
This electrical energy losses calculations can be done in a systematic way
and with the help of software such as Matlab. The data required to locate these
losses include the amount of energy received, send energy, electric energy sold ,
and the use of its own distribution unit.
From all the results obtained, the author can conclude the electrical losses
at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Kenten for 2013rd, in July 11,05%, August 12,07%,
September 9,01%, October 9,49%, November 8,95% and December 15,98%. For
2014th, in January 12.11%, in February 9.24%, in March 16.71%, in April
12.80%., in May 11,56%, in June 9,16% and in July 15,02%. Calculation using
the Matlab by programming formulas into a single unit also prove to be more
efficient and accurate than the calculation systematically or manually.
