This paper intends to examine some paradigmatic points affecting Outdoor Education, starting a first exploration of the relationships that are intertwined in its different forms. In particular,it seemed appropriate to propose a reflection on the “outside”, which thematizes the area but does not express it entirely, and on the “doing”, or on the methodological aspects, which from an educational point of view cannot be reduced to proposing mere experience, but shoud lead to a thoughtful, shared and sustainable planning action.Il presente contributo intende prendere in esame alcuni nodi paradigmatici che interessano l’Outdoor Education, avviando una prima esplorazione dei rapporti che si intrecciano nelle sue diverse declinazioni. In particolare, ci è sembrato opportuno proporre una riflessione sul “fuori”, che ne tematizza l’ambito ma non lo esaurisce, e sul “fare”, ovvero sugli aspetti metodologici, che da un punto di vista educativo non sono riducibili al proporre mera esperienzialità, ma dovrebbero condurre a un agire progettuale ponderato, sostenibile e condiviso
