Objective: The purpose of this research was to determine whether the application of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in health services can lead to efficiency in health services. Design/methodology/approach: This research explores the longitudinal outcome data of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in healthcare in terms of patient outcomes, as well as financial measures and healthcare efficiency and profitability. Findings: To support the hypothesis, the Baldrige National Quality Award in healthcare results in an increase in positive clinical outcomes, while financial measures and healthcare efficiency all show very positive operative outcomes.Keywords: Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, Health Servic
