IMIGRAÇÃO, HISTÓRIA, LITERATURA: A SEGUNDA GUERRA MUNDIAL NO RIO GRANDE DO SUL

Abstract

RESUMOEntre muitas outras consequências para o Brasil, a Segunda Guerra Mundial foi responsável pela ocorrência de conflitos de caráter étnico, e mesmo religioso, em várias regiões do país. Uma delas foi o Rio Grande do Sul. Entrementes, a pesquisa histórica avançou de forma significativa no estudo desse tema. Aqui se faz uma tentativa de questionar se os resultados até agora obtidos com base em fontes históricas tradicionais poderiam ser complementados, melhorados ou até modificados com a inclusão da produção literária, supostamente ficcional, sobre esse tema. Destaca-se que se trata muito mais de uma tentativa de pesquisa que da obtenção de um resultado definitivo. ABSTRACTAmong many consequences to Brazil, the Second World War was responsible for ethnic, and even religious, conflicts in several regions of the country. One of those was the state of Rio Grande do Sul. In the meantime, historical research about the issue has developed considerably. Here an attempt is made to question whether the outcomes reached so far based in traditional historical sources could be complemented, improved or even modified by including the literary production, allegedly fictional. It must be highlighted that it is more a matter of a research attempt than of the achievement of a definitive result
