Abstract

332-340The seedlings of Eucalyptus camaldulenosis of same genotype were grown at different geographical locations having distinct pre- and post-monsoon ground water levels. It is observed that as the ground water level recedes, balloon like structures known as tyloses develop, which affect the plant anatomy, physico-chemical and pulp and paper making characteristics of E. camaldulenosis. The aging of E. camaldulenosis has marked adverse impact on morphological, physico-chemical composition, pulping and black liquor characteristics along with mechanical strength properties of paper. </span
