Analyzing the controversies about Samarco?s social andenvironmental disaster in a pedagogical workshop with newspapers

Abstract

Neste trabalho analisamos as controv?rsias suscitadas a partir do desenvolvimento de um produto educacional, no caso, um caderno que permitir? aos professores da Educa??o B?sica o desenvolvimento de uma oficina pedag?gica de produ??o de textos jornal?sticos. Nesse caminho, utilizamos os preceitos te?ricos-anal?ticos da Teoria Ator-Rede (TAR) para compreendermos os fluxos, alian?as e movimentos empreendidos, formados a partir das intera??es entre os actantes, no caso alunos e os jornais, durante a oficina. A partir das an?lises observamos que foram muitas as controv?rsias que se emergiram a partir das discuss?es, debates e reflex?es acerca da tem?tica abordada. Dessa forma, enfatizamos que o referencial adotado foi relevante para a compreens?o desta pr?tica sociomaterial. Destacamos ainda, o produto educacional desenvolvido, que se mostrou como um importante instrumento para que professores da educa??o b?sica possam vir a trabalhar as controv?rsias em torno do desastreThis study analyzes the controversies arising from the development of an educational product, in this case, a notebook that will allow Basic Education teachers to develop an educational workshop production of newspaper articles. In this way, we use the theoretical-analytical precepts of Actor-Network Theory (ART) to understand the flows, alliances and movements undertaken, formed from the interactions between surfactants, if students and newspapers during the workshop. From the analysis we found that there were many controversies that emerged from the discussions, debates and reflections on the theme. Thus, we emphasize that the adopted framework was relevant to understanding this sociomaterial practice. We also point out the educational product developed,which proved to be an important tool for basic education teachers to come to work the controversies surrounding the disaster
