Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on selvittää avotyötoiminnan merkitystä osatyökykyisen henkilön arjessa ja osallisuudessa sekä kartoittaa mahdollisia avotyöpaikkoja ja työtehtäviä osatyökykyisten henkilöiden oman kiinnostusten ja toiveiden pohjalta. Tavoitteisiin pääsemiseksi olen opinnäytetyön alkuvaiheessa keskustellut osatyökykyisten henkilöiden kanssa heidän työkokemuksistaan ja kiinnostuksen kohteista. Tämän jälkeen kokosin kolmen hengen pienryhmän, jonka kanssa kiersin vierailuilla erilaisilla työpaikoilla. Lopuksi haastattelin pienryhmää kartoittaakseni ryhmän jäsenten kokemuksia ja mielipiteitä työpaikka vierailuista ja työn merkityksestä. Tämän lisäksi olen haastatellut jo avotyössä työskenteleviä kehitysvammaisia henkilöitä heidän kokemuksistaan avotyötoimintaan liittyen.
Alkukartoitus keskustelu osatyökykyisten henkilöiden kanssa tapahtui toukokuussa 2017 Lapin Ammattikorkeakoululla Inclusive Campus Life projektin tapaamisessa, jossa 16 henkilöä osallistui keskusteluun. Työpaikka vierailut pienryhmän kanssa on suoritettu tammi- helmikuun aikana 2018 ja haastattelut tammi- maaliskuun aikana. Haastateltavana on ollut avotyössä elintarvikemyymälöissä työskenteleviä osatyökykyisiä henkilöitä (5), pienryhmätoimintaan työpaikoilla osallistuneita toimintakeskuksen asiakkaita (3) sekä muita toimintakeskuksen asiakkaita (4). Haastatteluihin osallistuneiden henkilöiden osatyökykyisyys pohjautuu kehitysvammaisuuteen. Olen nauhoittanut sekä litteroinut haastattelut näkyville. Saadusta aineistosta olen erotellut oleelliset elementit opinnäytetyötä varten. Opinnäytetyö on toimintatutkimus.
Opinnäytetyön tietoperusta käsittelee avotyötoimintaa ja sen merkitystä osatyökykyisen vammaisen henkilön osallisuuteen ja arkeen, avotyötoiminnan järjestämistä ohjaavaa lainsäädäntöä sekä toimintatutkimuksen menetelmällisyyttä ja etiikkaa tutkimuksellisuuden näkökulmasta. Lisäksi olen selvittänyt mitä osallisuus, avotyötoiminta ja osatyökykyinen ovat käsitteinä.The purpose of this thesis is to find out the significance of vocational rehabilitation in the form of part-time employment in the everyday life of a disabled person and to explore potential jobs and work assignments based on their own interests and wishes of people with partial work incapacity. For reaching the objectives I have discussed about the work experiences and the subjects of interest the early stage of the thesis with the people with learning disability already in supported rehabilitative employment about their experiences concerning the supported work activity. After this I collected a small group of three with which I visited at different workplaces. Finally I interviewed the small group in order to survey the experiences of the members of the group and opinions on the workplace visits and significance of the work. In addition to this, I have interviewed people with learning disability already in supported rehabilitative employment about their experiences concerning the supported work activity.
The first discussion with the disabled persons was performed in May 2017 in Lapland University of Applied Sciences at the meeting of the Inclusive Campus Life- project in which 16 persons participated in the discussion. The workplace visits with the small group were carried out during January and February 2018 and the interviews during January and March. As an interviewees there have been disabled persons who work in vocational rehabilitation in the form of part-time employment in a grocery stores (5), the small group who have participated in the activities in workplaces (3) and other clients of the activity centre (4). The partial work incapacity of the persons who have participated in the thesis is based on their learning disability. I have recorded and have transcribed the interviews. From the received material I have selected elements for this thesis. The thesis is an activity analysis.
The knowledge base of the thesis processes vocational rehabilitation in the form of part-time employment and its significance to the disabled person's participation and everyday life, legislation which directs the arranging of the supported employing, method and ethics from a research perspective.
