Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli etsiä tietoa Virtain neuvolapalveluiden kehittämiseksi perhekeskeisyyden näkökulmasta. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kuvailla kirjallisuuskatsausta hyödyntäen laajojen terveystarkastusten mahdollisuuksia tunnistaa lasta odottavien ja alle kaksivuotiaiden lasten perheiden lapsen terveyttä ja hyvinvointia uhkaavat perheen riskiolot, keinoja tuen varhaiseen tarjoamiseen ja moniammatillisen yhteistyön tarjoamia mahdollisuuksia koko perheen terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin edistämiseksi.
Kirjallisuuskatsausta ohjasivat seuraavat tutkimuskysymykset: Millä keinoin lasta odottavien perheiden laajoissa terveystarkastuksissa pystytään tunnistamaan ja ennaltaehkäisemään lapsen terveyttä ja hyvinvointia uhkaavat perheen riskiolot? Millä keinoin alle kaksivuotiaiden lasten laajoissa terveystarkastuksissa pystytään tunnistamaan ja ennaltaehkäisemään lapsen terveyttä ja hyvinvointia uhkaavat perheen riskiolot? Miten perhekeskustoiminta mahdollistaa varhaisen puuttumisen ja tuen tarjoamisen laajoissa terveystarkastuksissa ilmenneisiin perheen riskioloihin? Kirjallisuuskatsaukseen otettiin mukaan 10 suomenkielistä tutkimusartikkelia. Valittu aineisto analysoitiin sisällönanalyysin avulla.
Tutkimusartikkelit osoittivat, että laaja terveystarkastus mahdollistaa perhekeskeisen työskentelyn ja perheen yksilöllisen tuen tarpeiden huomioimisen. Keinot tunnistaa riskioloissa elävät perheet perustuu luottamukselliseen asiakassuhteeseen ja perheen kokonaistilanteen hahmottamiseen. Myös terveydenhoitajan yksilölliset ominaisuudet vaikuttavat riskioloissa elävien perheiden tunnistamiseen. Tuen tarjoamisen keinoina nousivat keskeisimpinä esiin hoidon jatkuvuus, perheen yksilöllinen kohtaaminen voimavarat huomioiden, kotikäynnit, vertaistukitoiminta ja moniammatillinen yhteistyö. Yhteistyö eri ammattilaisten välillä mahdollistaa kohdennetun ja yksilöllisen tuen perheille. Perhekeskus tarjoaa toimivat puitteet moniammatilliselle yhteis- ja tiimityölle.The aim of this thesis was to compile information to improve children- and prenatal clinic services in Virrat from the perspective of families. The purpose of the thesis was to describe the opportunities provided by extensive health examination to recognise the risk factors in the families of pregnant women and children under the age of 2, to find methods to offer early support and to describe opportunities of collaboration in multi-professional teamwork to promote health and well-being of the whole family. This study is a literature review.
The following questions directed the research: What are the methods to recognise and to prevent risk factors of the families of pregnant women during extensive health examination to promote health and well-being of the child? What are the methods to recognise and to prevent risk factors of the families of children under the age of 2 during extensive health examination to promote health and well-being of the child? How do family centres enable public health nurses to carry out early intervention and to provide early support to the families with risk factors which were revealed during extensive health examination?
The data consisted of ten (n=10) Finnish research articles. The selected data was analysed by using content analysis. The research articles indicated that extensive health examination enables family-oriented approach and observation for the need of support. The methods to recognise risk factors of families are based on a confidential relationship between patient and professional, and having a comprehensive understanding of a life situation of the family. The personal qualities of the public health nurse also have an impact in recognising the family’s risk factors.
It appears that essential ways to provide support are continuity of care, family-oriented approach, acknowledging family’s resources, home visits, parent peer support and collaboration in multi-professional teamwork.
