Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa käytännöllinen ja selkeä haavanhoito-opas palvelutalon henkilökunnalle. Tavoitteena oli kehittää ja päivittää hoitohenkilökunnan haavanhoito-osaamista ja parantaa hoidon laatua. Haavanhoitoon kuuluu haavan ennaltaehkäisy, monipuolinen ruokavalio ja haavanhoito nykyaikaisiin haavasuosituksiin perustuen.
Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön menetelmiä käyttäen ja tuotoksena tehtiin haavanhoito-opas. Opinnäytetyön aloitusvaiheessa kerättiin taustatietoa hoitohenkilökunnan haavanhoito-osaamisesta avoimen kyselyn avulla, jonka perusteella selvisi opinnäytetyön tarpeellisuus. Kyselyiden tulokset analysoitiin teema-analyysillä. Suunnitteluvaiheessa kerättiin teoriatietoa eri haavojen hoidoista ja niiden ennaltaehkäisystä. Toteutusvaiheessa koottiin opas, johon kerättiin tietoa ravitsemuksesta, haavoista, niiden hoidoista ja ennaltaehkäisystä sekä haavanhoitotuotteista.
Oppaasta tehtiin kansio, johon kirjoitettiin tietokoneella teoriatiedot ja liitettiin kuvat. Oppaasta pidettiin perehdytys ja valmis tuotos toimitettiin Onnelantien palvelutaloon.The purpose of this thesis was to produce practical and clear wound care guide for staff in a sheltered home. The aim of the thesis was to develop and update wound care procedures and improve overall quality of care. Wound care includes prevention of wound, diverse diet and wound care based on modern wound recommendations.
This thesis is based on primary research and has resulted in a wound care guide being produced. An open questionnaire was given to nursing staff to establish some background information of the level of wound care skills staff have. As a result of the questionnaire it was clear that this thesis was necessary. The results of the questionnaires were analysed using thematic analysis. During the design phase theoretical information about wounds, wound care and prevention was collected. During the implementation phase this information gathered in the design phase was collated to produce a nutrition, wound care guide, this also included information on wound care products.
The guide was created on a computer and included the theoretical information and pictures also. The guide was delivered alongside a practical demonstration of wound care procedures; this was carried out at Onnelas sheltered home
