Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli toteuttaa alustava kyselytutkimus siitä, miten tietojenkäsittelyn koulutus vastaa työelämän tarpeita. Toimeksiantajana tässä opinnäytetyössä on Karelia-ammattikorkeakoulu. Työn tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten kyselytutkimus aiheesta tulisi tehdä. Samalla tarkoituksena oli saada alustavaa tietoa tietojenkäsittelyn koulutuksen mahdollisista kehitystarpeista työelämän osaamisen näkökulmasta.
Työssä käsitellään it-tradenomien koulutusta ja työllistymistä sekä määritellään työhyvinvoinnin, työtyytyväisyyden ja työmotivaation käsitteet. Opinnäytetyössä hyödynnetään kvalitatiivista tutkimusmenetelmää sekä kyselyä, joka toteutettiin
sähköpostin välityksellä. Kohderyhmänä kyselytutkimuksella toimi vastavalmistuneet Ittradenomit.
Työn tuloksena saatiin tietoa siitä, kuinka onnistunut kyselytutkimus toteutetaan. Tietoa saatiin myös siitä, että Karelia-ammattikorkeakoulun kannalta paras olisi sijoittaa vastaava kysely harjoittelun loppuraporttiin. Opinnäytetyö antaa myös tietoa siitä, millaista vastausprosenttia aiheesta toteutettavalta kyselytutkimukselta voi odottaa.The aim of this thesis was to conduct a preliminary study about the skills BBA education gives and if they correspond to those skills needed in the actual working life. Karelia university of applied sciences acts as a commissioner for this thesis. The goal of the thesis was to examine how to conduct a survey about the work life skills in order to obtain information about the possible development areas in the BBA education from the work life point of view.
The study consists of information about BBA education, employment and defines the concepts of work wellbeing, work satisfaction and work motivation. This thesis utilizes
qualitative research and a survey that was conducted using email. Recent Karelia University of Applied Sciences BBA graduates, that focused in the Business Information Technology are the focus group of this thesis.
As a result, information was acquired about how to conduct a successful survey. Information was also acquired about the fact, that from the point of view of Karelia
university, it would be useful implement the survey in the final report of the internship. This thesis can be used as a case example about what can be expected from
conducting a similar survey and what can be expected in terms of the response rate
