Tämän insinöörityön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa puolueeton ja ennakkoluuloton tutkimus varaosatyön ammatillisesta koulutuksesta ja sen kehitystarpeesta. Insinöörityön on tilannut HMV-Systems Oy, joka toimii itsenäisenä kouluttajana ja koulutuksen kehittäjänä yhteistyössä oppilaitosten ja automaahantuojien kanssa.
Insinöörityössä käsitellään varaosamyyjän ammatillista koulutusta ja tutkitaan, miten tätä koulutusta voitaisiin kehittää.
Ensimmäiseksi työssä käsitellään varaosamyyjän koulutusta yleisesti. Tässä osiossa avataan autoalan perustutkintoa sekä varaosamyynnin osaamisalaa. Osiossa esitellään arvostelukriteerit ja kaikki oleellinen, mitä tutkintoon kuuluu.
Toisessa osiossa tutkitaan itse aihetta. Koko koulutusta ei ole tarkoitus uudistaa, vaan etsiä tämänhetkisestä koulutuksesta pääkohdat, joihin työssä tullaan keskittymään. Tähän osioon kuuluu myös kaksi kyselyä, jotka toteutettiin alalla jo työskenteleville henkilöille sekä toinen alaa opiskeleville henkilöille. Kyselyissä kartoitettiin, mitä ammattilaiset pitävät tärkeinä asioina töissä ja mitä opiskelijat haluaisivat työharjoittelu- ym. kokemustensa pohjalta opiskella enemmän.
Viimeisessä kappaleessa tutkimuksista saadut vastaukset on koottu yhteen ja niitä verrataan toisiinsa. Kävikin ilmi, että sekä työtä tekevät henkilöt, että alaa opiskelevat pitivät likimain samoja asioita tärkeinä. Tärkeimmiksi asioiksi tutkimusten mukaan osoittautuivat autotekninen tuntemus, huoltoprosessin tunteminen, kielet, varastotyö ja myyntitaito. Vähäpätöisimpinä pidettiin autosähkötekniikkaa, autoalan lakien ja säädösten tuntemista, yrittäjyyttä sekä rengas- ja vannemyyntiä.This study examines spare parts sales education. The objective of this study was to develop vocational education of the current spare parts sales. This study was assigned by HMV-Systems Ltd. HMV-Systems Ltd is an educator company of the automotive industry. The company co-operates with vocational schools and car importers in the automotive field in Scandinavia.
The first part of the study consists of a theory section where requirements of the current education are introduced. These requirements can be found in the curriculum of the basic automotive education.
The main subjects and requirements of the current curriculum are introduced in the second section. The objective was not to develop the whole education but to find the most important subjects in the curriculum. In co-operation with the HMV- Systems eleven main subjects in the curriculum were found and they are described in this study.
This study includes also two surveys. One of the surveys was sent to the students of the basic automotive education and the other was sent to the professional spare parts sales-persons. The purpose of these surveys was to chart the most important skills required in the spare parts work. These surveys and results are introduced in the third section.
As a result of this study the current education was analyzed. The study shows that the most important skills in spare parts work are automotive technical knowledge, maintenance process, languages, storage work and sales skills. The less important skills according to the surveys and the study seem to be automotive electrical knowledge, law and regulations of the automotive field, entrepreneurship and tire sales
