Opinnäytetyössämme selvitimme nuorten kokemuksia päihdehoitojaksosta Naulakallion lastenkodin Intro-osastolla. Introssa tarjotaan tehostettua hoitoa, jonka aikana pyritään pysäyttämään voimakkaasti oireileva nuori erilaisilla rajoitustoimenpiteillä sekä tiiviillä omahoitajatyöskentelyllä, tavoitteena on saada nuoren kasvua ja kehitystä haittaava käyttäytyminen loppumaan. Introsta nuoret siirtyvät lastenkodin toiselle osastolle, joko Rytmiin tai Tempoon. Opinnäytetyössä selvitimme haastattelun keinoin nimenomaan asiakkaiden eli nuorten mielestä heidän päihteiden käyttöönsä vaikuttaneita hoitokeinoja sekä kokemuksia hoitojaksosta.
Opinnäytetyön aineisto kerättiin laadullisen tutkimuksen aineiston hankintamenetelmin eli teemallisilla yksilöhaastatteluilla. Haastattelut suoritettiin kahdelle Intro-hoitojakson käyneelle nuorelle. Haastatteluilla pyrittiin lisäämään nuorten osallisuuden ja vaikuttavuuden kokemusta omassa elämässään. Haastatteluiden kysymysten teemat ovat kronologisessa järjestyksessä; hoitojakson alku- ja lopputilanteet, sekä nykyhetki hoitojakson loputtua. Tulosten analysoinnissa käytettiin niin ikään teemallista analysointia.In our thesis we studied through qualitative research the experiences of the youth who’s been through substance abuse treatment in Naulakallio children’s home department Intro. The Intro offers intensified care for the children to stop the harmful behaviour that threats their growth and development. In the Intro the children have restrictions to keep them safe and help evaluate the depth of their problems, they also get their own caretaker and nurse. From Intro the children will move to another department in Naulakallio; either Rytmi or Tempo.
In our thesis we interviewed two children who had been in the Intro and moved to another de-partment to solve what was their opinion and feelings about the care they had received and what factors may have affected it. The questions were presented chronologically from the beginning to the end of their time in the Intro, all the way to present day. The results were analysed by themes. We also asked the children´s and their parents´ as well as the City of Helsinki Social Services and Health Care Department’s permission for the interviews
