Tiivistelmä
Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin kehittämistutkimuksena, jonka tarkoituksena oli
lisätä Palvelutaloyhdistys Koskenrinne ry:n vapaaehtoistyön näkyvyyttä. Kehittämistutkimuksen tavoitteina oli tehdä Koskenrinteelle Facebook-sivut ja päivittää vapaaehtoistoiminnan esite sekä aktivoida uusia vapaaehtoisia, erityisesti nuoria eri järjestöjen ja koulujen kautta.
Kehittämistutkimuksen tutkivassa osassa käytettiin tutkimusmenetelmänä kirjallisuuskatsausta ja teemahaastattelua. Teemahaastattelu tehtiin opinnäytetyön työelämäohjaajille, tarkoituksena selvittää Koskenrinteen vapaaehtoistyön alkutilannetta. Opinnäytetyön tutkivassa osassa on tietoa yleisesti vapaaehtoistyöstä Suomessa ja vapaaehtoistyön vaikutuksista ikääntyneiden terveyteen.
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteiden saavuttamiseksi Koskenrinteelle tehtiin Facebook-sivut, vapaaehtoistoiminnan esite uudistettiin ja kouluihin ja harrastusjärjestöihin otettiin yhteyttä sähköpostilla uusien vapaaehtoisten aktivoimiseksi. Aihe valittiin, koska se on ajankohtainen ja vapaaehtoisia tarvitaan lisää vanhustyöhön. Opinnäytetyölle asetut tavoitteet saavutettiin osittain. Koskenrinteen ja vapaaehtoistyön näkyvyyttä lisättiin, mutta vapaaehtoisten määrä ei lisääntynyt lyhyellä aikavälillä.Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis was a development study. The aim was to increase visibility of volunteering in a company called Koskenrinne ry. The aims of this development study were to make Facebook pages for the Koskenrinne ry company, update their leaflet about volunteering and activate new volunteers, especially young people through schools and organizations.
The research methods used in the research section of the development study were a literature review and a theme interview. We interviewed our labor instructors in order to find out the initial situation of volunteering in Koskenrinne ry. In the theoretical part of this bachelor’s thesis there is general information about volunteering in Finland and the effects of volunteering on the health of the elderly.
In order to achieve the aims of this bachelor’s thesis we made Facebook pages for Koskenrinne ry, we updated their leaflet about volunteering and we contacted schools and organizations by email in order to get new volunteers. We chose this topic because it is current and volunteers are much needed in the elderly care. The aims set for this bachelor’s thesis were partially met. The visibility of Koskenrinne ry and their volunteering increased but the number of volunteers did not increase in the short term
