Näyttöön perustuvaa hoitotyötä on alettu kehittää viimeisten vuosikymmenten aikana ja tutkimustieto hoitoalalla
sekä lääketieteessä kasvaa nopeaa vauhtia. Näytön hyödyntämiseen ja tehokkaaseen käyttöön on luotu erilaisia
toimintamalleja ja aihetta tutkitaan jatkuvasti. Näytön käyttö hoitotyössä perustelee annettua hoitoa, lisää hoidon
tasalaatuisuutta ja kustannustehokkuutta sekä antaa hoitotyöntekijöille ajantasaisimman, tehokkaaksi ja
turvalliseksi todetun tiivistetyn hoitoon liittyvän tiedon.
Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa työhön perehdytyksen avuksi A5-kokoinen paperille tulostettava
kaksipuoleinen kortti, jossa informaatio esitellään lyhyesti ja selkeästi. Perehdyttämiseen käytettävät hoitotyön
kortit tuottaa Etelä-Savon sairaanhoitopiirin alueellinen työryhmä. Työryhmä on toiminut vuodesta 2005 hoitotyön
tutkimus- ja kehittämistyöryhmän alaryhmänä. Sen tavoitteena on näyttöön perustuvan toiminnan edistäminen
hoitotyössä alueelliset ja valtakunnalliset hoitotyön strategiset linjaukset huomioiden. Kortin tavoitteena on
selkiyttää perehdytystä, tehdä tutkimustiedon käyttöä ja työryhmän työtä tunnetuksi. Kortti edustaa
sairaanhoitopiiriä ja sen arvoja. Korttia jaetaan Mikkelin keskussairaalassa eri osastoilla uusille sekä jo työssä
aloittaneille hoitotyöntekijöille.
Opinnäytetyön raportti koostuu näyttöön perustuvan hoitotyön teoriaosuudesta ja keskeisistä käsitteistä, kortin
tekoon liittyvistä vaiheista ja niiden perusteluista sekä tekovaiheen raportista. Aineistona kerättiin haastatteluin
palautetta kortin eri tekovaiheissa. Palautetta saatiin myös työn suunnitelman esitysvaiheessa, toimeksiantajan ja
ohjaajan toimesta. Kortin grafiikka suunniteltiin karkeasti ja painopiste säilytettiin kortin tekstisisällössä, joka
pohjasi teoriaosuuteen. Kortin teon apuna käytettiin eri ohjelmia sekä aihetta sivuavaa kirjallisuutta. Kortti koettiin
pääosin selkeäksi, asialliseksi, kiinnostavaksi ja moderniksi. Sitä luettaisiin mielellään perehdytystilanteessa, koska
kortissa on asiaa, väriä, grafiikkaa ja referenssi lisätietoon. Lopullinen arvio kortin toimivuudesta saadaan sen
käytön jälkeen.The research and development regarding evidence based nursing has been on the rise in the last few decades. Research and
the quantity of information in both medical and nursing science is growing fast. Research about the term evidence based
nursing and it’s uses in the nursing field continue to develop with different national projects and framework. Using evidence
as the base in given care for the patient justifies actions, increases the uniformity and quality in care, increases cost-efficiency
and provides the staff with relevant, valid and summarized information which is proved to be safe and effective.
The aim of this thesis was to create an A5 sized card, where the information is presented summarized to the point. The card
is used by the wards in the orientation of new and recently recruited nursing staff. The thesis was assigned by the project
group working under the South-Savo healthcare district. The group started it’s work in 2005 as a subgroup for a related
administrative group in development and research. It’s objective is to bring evidence based nursing to the fore within the
healthcare district. The objective of the card itself is to clarify the process of staff orientation, and build awareness of
evidence based nursing and the project group. The card represents the South-Savo healthcare district and it’s values. The
card will be handed out to new and recently recruited staff during the orientation period.
This thesis is composed of the theory part which includes the main concepts of evidence based nursing, the stages and
reasoning behind making of this card and the final report of the finalized product. Interviews in two stages of the project
were used as the main form of feedback. Feedback was also received from the opponents, the tutor teacher and the group
leader from the above project group. Literature and different computer programs were used to assist in the making of the
card. The card received well amongst the review group with positive feedback regarding the simplicity of the graphic design,
modern approach, and relevancy to the subject. The colors, graphics and technology make it a pleasant read. To be pointed
out that the final review for the efficacy of the design will be received after the card has been to use for some time
