Opinnäytetyömme aiheena on tutkia yhteisöllisyyttä ja sen merkitystä tapahtuman järjestämisessä. Työ on toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö ja toimeksiantajana on Tahdonvoima Osuuskunta.
Työmme on kaksiosainen. Ensimmäisessä osassa tutkimme yhteisöllisyyden merkitystä ilmaistapahtuman järjestämisessä. Toisessa osassa käymme läpi Pispalan juhannus -festivaalin vaiheet järjestämisestä jälkitoimenpiteisiin. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tutkia millainen merkitys yhteisöllisyydellä on ilmaistapahtuman järjestämisessä sekä järjestäjän että yleisön kannalta.
Pispalan juhannus -kaupunkifestivaali on kaksi kertaa järjestetty ilmaistapahtuma Tampereen Pispalassa, Tahmelan rannassa vuosina 2012 ja 2013. Tapahtuma toteutettiin täysin vapaaehtoisvoimin ja tämän työn tarkoituksena on kartoittaa tapahtuman tulevaisuutta. Miten tapahtuma pystyy vastaamaan kasvun haasteisiin, kuinka suureksi tapahtuma voi kasvaa ja häviääkö yhteisöllisyys yleisömäärän kasvun myötä?
Tutkimme myös miten yhteisöllisyys näkyy nimenomaan Pispalan kaupunginosassa ja millaisia yhdistyksiä siellä toimii.
Toivomme, että tutkielmamme antaa vinkkejä muille tapahtumajärjestäjille ja kannustaa kokeile-maan uusia ideoita rohkeasti pienelläkin budjetilla.
Lopuksi pohdimme Pispalan juhannuksen tulevaisuutta. Tullaanko tapahtuma vielä toteuttamaan tulevaisuudessa nykyisessä muodossaan, tuleeko se muuttamaan luonnettaan vai poikiiko kaupunkijuhannuskokeilu jonkin aivan uuden tapahtuman.
Pispalan juhannus -festivaali pitää välivuoden kesällä 2014. Tämän jälkeen selvitämme lähiasukkaiden ja kaupungin kannan Tahmelan rannan käytöstä uudelleen tapahtuman järjestämiseen.The aim of this thesis is to examine the meaning of cummunality for people in arranging event. Our thesis is in two parts. In the first part we examine the importance of communality
arranging the free event. In the second part we will go through the event management. Meaning of this thesis is to investigate the importance of community when organizing a free event by the organizer and by the public.
Pispala juhannus city festival has been arranged twice in Tampere, on the shore of Tahmela in 2012 and 2013 . Event was carried out entirely by volunteers. The aim of the thesis is to find out if it is possible to arrange the event also in the future. How the event will be able to meet the challenges of growth, how big the event can grow and will it loose the aspect of communality if it grows too much.
We also study how the communality is reflected at Pispala and what kind of associations there are.
We hope that this thesis gives tips to other event organizers and encourage them to experiment with new ideas with a small budget.
Finally we consider the future of the Pispala juhannus city festival. Will there be an event in the future in its current form, will it change the character or will there be a brand new event.
