Terveydenhuollossa erilaiset infektiot aiheuttavat suuria lisäkustannuksia potilaiden hoitojaksojen pitkittyessä sekä työntekijöille aiheutuvista sairauspoissaoloista. Ensihoidon työntekijät saattavat omalta osaltaan tietämättään levittää infektioiden aiheuttajia sekä altistua itsekin infektioille. Viimeaikoina on alettu kiinnittämään enemmän huomiota infektioiden ehkäisymenetelmiin muun muassa käsihygieniaan.
Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli päivittää jo olemassa olevaa ensihoitoyksikön hygieniaohjeistusta Varsinais- Suomen sairaanhoitopiirille. Tätä ohjeistusta voivat käyttää hyväksi kaikki sairaanhoitopiirin alueella työskentelevät ensihoitoyksiköt päivittäisessä työssään.
Opinnäytetyömme on tehty yhteistyössä Varsinais- Suomen sairaanhoitopiirin edustajien kanssa saaden heiltä asiantuntija tietoa hygieniaohjeista. Hygieniaohjeet on koottu kirjallisesta tiedosta, johon on valittu vain uusimmat ja luotettavimmat tietolähteet.
Päivitetyssä ensihoitohoitoyksikön hygieniaohjeistuksessa on kerrottu hygienian hoidosta, varotoimista, mikrobien tartunnasta ja torjuntakeinoista, sekä yleisimmistä infektioista. Hygieniaohjeista valmistui toimintaohjekortti, joissa kerrotaan tartuntataudeista ja niiltä suojautumisesta, sekä ensihoitoyksikön puhdistusohjeet.
.In the public health service the different infections will cause big extra costs when the patients' periods of treatment drag on and from illness absences which are caused to the workers. The workers of the emergency care may for their part spread the causes of infections without their knowledge and may be exposed to the infections even themselves. During the lately the paying of more attention has been declined to the methods of contraception of infections to the hand hygiene, among others.
The purpose of this dissertation are to update already existing hygiene instructions to Southwest Finland's hospital district. All the ambulance unit which work in the area of the hospital district can utilise these instructions in their daily work.
Our dissertation information about the hygiene instructions has been made in cooperation with the representatives of Southwest Finland's hospital district getting an expert from them. The hygiene instructions have been composed of written information to which only newest and most reliable sources of information have been chosen.
In the hygiene instructions of the ambulance unit it has been told about the care of the hygiene, about the precautions, about the infection of microbes and about the rejection means and about the most general infections.
