Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa 8. -luokkalaisten nuorten seksuaaliterveydestä esite Hyvinkään kouluterveydenhuollolle. Esitteen tavoitteena on antaa nuorille tietoa seksuaaliterveydestä ja lisätä heidän positiivista seksuaalikäyttäytymistään. Opinnäytetyön teorian muodostivat kirjallisuuskatsaus nuoren kokonaisvaltaisesta kehityksestä ja seksuaaliterveydestä. Seksuaali- ja lisääntymisterveyden IMB–mallia käytettiin opinnäytetyössä teorian viitekehyksenä.
Koko opinnäytetyön prosessi lähti liikkeelle aloituskokouksella Hyvinkään kaupungin kouluterveydenhoitajien kanssa. Kokouksen tarkoituksena oli saada tietoa siitä, millaiselle esitteelle on tarvetta juuri nyt ja minkälaista ulkoasua ja sisältöä esitteeseen toivottiin. Esitteen tuli olla selkeä, lyhyt ja mahdollisimman helppolukuinen. Esitteestä tehtiin luonnos, joka lähetettiin yhdessä kyselylomakkeen kanssa kahdelle yhteistyöterveydenhoitajalle kommentoitavaksi. Terveydenhoitajat kommentoivat esitettä sähköpostitse. Esite tuotettiin valmiiksi terveydenhoitajien kommentit ja toiveet huomioon ottaen.
Esite sisältää nuorille tietoa sukupuolitaudeista, ehkäisystä, seurustelusta sekä hygieniasta. Esite on saatavissa Hyvinkään kaupungin kouluterveydenhuollolta. Opinnäytetyön kehittämishaasteeksi muodostui se, miten esitteestä saisi tuotettua mahdollisimman paljon tietoa sisältävän, mutta silti nuoria kiinnostavan esitteen. Tutkimuksista on käynyt ilmi, että nuorilla on huono tietämys seksuaaliterveydestä, joten tulevaisuuden kehittämishaasteena on lisätä entisestään nuorten seksuaaliterveystietoisuutta.The brochure of sexual health to eight graders
The aim of this thesis was to produce a sexual health brochure to eight graders. The Thesis was commissioned by the school health care of Hyvinkää. The objective was to provide the young people information about sexual health and enhance their positive sexual behavior. The literature review of this thesis covers the young people’s comprehensive development and sexual health. Information-Motivation-Behavior skills model is used as the theoretical framework of this thesis.
The thesis process began with a meeting with Hyvinkää’s school nurses. The purpose of the meeting was to get information about what kind of brochure was needed and what it should include. The visual side of the brochure was also discussed. The guidelines of the brochure were clear; it should be clear, brief and easy to read. A draft of the brochure and a questionnaire were produced and sent to the school nurses of Hyvinkää. The school nurses gave feed-back and comments by e-mail. The brochure was finalized by taking the comments and wishes into account.
The brochure includes information about sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy prevention, dating and hygiene. The brochure is available in all school health nurse`s offices in Hyvinkää. The development challenge of this thesis was how to provide as much information as possible in the brochure in a way that is interesting to the young people. The research proves that the young people lack knowledge about sexual health. The future development challenge is to enhance the young people’s knowledge about sexual health
