Statistical Observation of Urinary Tuberculosis in Recent Years.

Abstract

Statistical observation was carried out on 708 cases w i t h urinary tuberculosis in our department during the period 1960 to 1962, and the results were compared with the former reports. A every-year-decrease in renal tuberculosis is noted, with a slight preponderance of males. The curve of age distribution has double peak , first between 20-24 years, second between 35-39 years in males and 40-44 in females. The third decade of life still appears the most likely for the manifestation of the desease, but it is seen to transit gradually higher decade. Complication of renal tbc, occurred as follows : vesical tbc. in only 58.3%, the remains could not find out the characteristics of tbc. in the bladder tbc of epididymis in 20.8%, the of protate in 14.4%, the of seminal vesicle in 1.6%, stone formation in 2.1%, pulmonary and pleural the in 5%. Surgical m a nipulation for urinary the is decreasing annually and recently two thirds of patients are treated internally in our clinic. The combination-therapy of the co r ticosteroids and antituberculous drugs, with good results, has a tendency of its frequent use
