Opinnäytetyön tarkoitus oli selvittää anoreksiaa sairastavan nuoren hoitopolku ja siinä esiintyviä ongelmakohtia Porissa nuorisopsykiatrisella osastolla 4. Tarkoituksena oli myös esittää haastattelun pohjalta kehityshaasteita hoitopolkuun liittyen. Opinnäytetyön tavoite oli kuvata anoreksiaa sairastavan nuoren hoitopolku Lounais-Suomen syömishäiriöperheet ry:lle, joka toimii opinnäytetyön yhteistyökumppanina.
Opinnäytetyö on tärkeä, koska se lisää moniammatillista yhteistyötä. Tutkimusten mukaan muilla hoitavilla tahoilla ei juuri ole tietoa siitä, mitä anoreksiaa sairastavan nuoren hoito psykiatrisella osastolla sisältää. Lounais-Suomen syömishäiriöperheet ry uskoo tutkimuksesta olevan hyötyä liitolle ja sen jäsenille.
Tutkimus on laadullinen eli kvalitatiivinen. Aineistonkeruumenetelmänä tässä opinnäytetyössä käytettiin teemahaastattelua. Haastattelu toteutettiin ryhmähaastatteluna ja siihen osallistui kuusi nuorisopsykiatrian osastolla neljä työskentelevää sairaanhoitajaa.
Opinnäytetyön tuloksissa tulee esiin, että usein nuoren ja hänen vanhempiensa toiveena on nopea parantuminen. Tämä koettiin hankalaksi, sillä silloin hoito keskittyy ainoastaan painon nostamiseen ja taustalla oleva syy jää huomioimatta. Moniammatillisen yhteistyön koettiin toimivan hyvin ja palveluja on helposti saatavilla. Henkilökunnan mielestä yhteiset linjat hoidossa ovat edellytys hyvälle hoidolle.
Haastateltavien mielipiteenä on, että kotiutumisvaiheessa yhteistyö avoterveydenhuollon kanssa on vähäisempää ja sitä voisi olla enemmän. Itsensä kouluttaminen ja uuden tiedon omaksumisen nähtiin vaikuttavan myönteisesti hoidon kehittymiseen.THE PATH OF TREATMENT IN AN ADOLESCENT WHO IS SUFFERING FROM ANOREXIA NERVOSA AT PORI’S PSYCHIATRIC WARD NUMBER 4 FOR ADOLESCENTS
The purpose of this thesis was to find out the path of treatment in an adolescent who is suffering from anorexia nervosa at Pori’s psychiatric ward number four for adolescents. The treatment of anorexia nervosa in Pori is centralized in this ward. The objective was also to find out the problems and challenges of development in this path of treatment. The objective of the thesis was to describe this path of treatment for Lounais-Suomen syömishäiriöperheet ry, which was the partner cooperation in this thesis.
The thesis is important because it increases multiprofessional collaboration in general. According to researches the other parties that treat the anorexic adolescents have very little information about the treatment that is given in the psychiatric ward number four for adolescents. Lounais-Suomen syömishäiriöperheet ry believes that the thesis is useful to the union and its members.
The research method in this thesis was qualitative. To collect the material, an interview was held and it was constructed according to a technique called ‘theme interview’. The interview was a group interview and six nurses who work at the psychiatric ward number four participated in the interview.
A quick recovery is often the wish of the adolescent and his/her parents and it clearly comes up in the results of the thesis. The nurses experienced that this was a problem because then the treatment is only focused on the weight gain and the essential reason for the eating disorder is ignored. The nurses experienced that the multiprofessional collaboration was successful and the services were accessible. The staff believes that collective guidelines are essential for a proper care.
The opinion of the nurses is that there is less collaboration with the municipal health care during the discharging of a patient and it should be increased. Self-education and learning new information were seen as positive things in the development of the care
