Opinnäytetyöni aihe on elokuvajournalistinen haastattelu. Tutkimuskysymykseni ovat seuraavat: Kuinka valmistautua haastatteluun? Minkälaisia ongelmia haastattelussa voi kohdata? Kuinka ongelmallisesta haastattelusta saadaan valmis, julkaisukelpoinen juttu? Tavoitteena on esitellä haastatteluun valmistautumista, muutama yleinen ongelmatilanne sekä kertoa, miten ongelmat vaikuttavat lopputulokseen, eli juttuun.
Opinnäytetyöni pohjautuu omiin työharjoittelukokemuksiini sekä elokuvalehti Episodin päätoimittajan haastatteluun. Näiden lisäksi teoreettista näkökulmaa opinnäytetyöhöni tuovat journalismista kirjoitetut kirjat ja muut lähdeteokset, kuten internetissä julkaistut kirjoitukset ja lehtiartikkelit.
Aineisto on lähinnä empiiristä sekä pohjautuu semistrukturoituun haastatteluun. Opinnäytetyöni on toiminnallinen ja sen teososana ovat neljä kirjoittamaani juttua. Juttujen haastattelutilanteissa oli jonkinlaisia ongelmia, minkä takia kyseiset neljä juttua ovat teoksena.
Opinnäytetyön tutkimustuloksista suurin on se, että ongelmallinen haastattelu ei heijastu valmiiseen juttuun. Toimittaja kykenee muotoilemaan jutusta sellaisen, että ongelmatilanteista ei lukija tiedä mitään. Valmistautumiseen on monenlaisia keinoja ja opinnäytetyössäni käyn läpi niistä yleisempiä. Haastattelun ongelmatilanteista esittelen neljä ja kerron ratkaisuja siihen, kuinka niistä tilanteista selviää.

My Bachelor’s Thesis work seeks answers to the questions of how to prepare oneself to a movie journalistic interview, what kind of problems one might face in an interview, and how you can make a finished article from a problematic interview. My goals are to give examples of preparing, deal with a few problematic situations and discuss how those problems affect to the result, the article.
My Bachelor’s Thesis is based on my own experiences during my internship in a movie magazine and also on an interview with that magazine’s editor in chief. The theoretic point of view draws from books dealing with journalism and also from some other sources of information such as articles from the internet.
The Thesis mainly relies on empirical material and on a semi structured interview. My Thesis is functional and the product part consists of four articles that I wrote. I chose those four articles to constitute the product part because during the interviews I conducted I experienced various problems.
The most prominent result I gained was that a problematic interview does not reflect to the final article. A journalist is able to write the article in a way which does not display the problems encountered during the interview to the reader. There are various ways of preparation and in my Thesis I present a few of the most common ways of preparing to an interview. There are many problematic situations and I deal with four of them and give a few examples of how to cope with those situations and get the interview completed.
