Tämä opinnäytetyö on toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö, joka sisältää teoreettisen viitekehyksen ja toiminnallisen osuuden. Opinnäytetyön aiheena on suullisen esityksen pitäminen kansainvälisessä kongressissa aiheesta suomalainen röntgenhoitajakoulutus. Toiminnallisen osuuden tarkoituksena oli suunnitella, toteuttaa ja arvioida suullinen esitys kansainvälisessä kongressissa. Tavoitteena oli antaa esityksen kuulijoille tietoa suomalaisesta röntgenhoitajakoulutuksesta.
Opinnäytetyötä ohjaaviksi tehtäviksi muodostuivat: Millainen on suomalainen röntgenhoitajakoulutus? Mitä on puheviestintä? Kuinka suunnitellaan, toteutetaan ja arvioidaan suullinen esitys suomalaisesta röntgenhoitajakoulutuksesta kansainväliseen kongressiin? Teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsitellään röntgenhoitajakoulutusta ja röntgenhoitajan ammatinkuvaa, puheviestintää sekä esitelmän valmistelussa huomioitavia tekijöitä. Esitelmä laadittiin teoriaosuuden pohjalta ja sen suunnittelu, toteutus ja arviointi on raportoitu opinnäytetyön lopussa.
Esitys pidettiin 9.–12.9.2010 järjestetyssä ISRRT (International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists) 2010 World Congressissa Australiassa Gold Coastilla. Sitä oli kuuntelemassa noin 50 kongressivierasta. Kongressin järjestäjien antamien ohjeiden mukaan esitys mahdollisine kysymyksineen kesti 15 minuuttia. Esitystä varten laadittiin PowerPoint-esitys, joka on opinnäytetyön lopussa liiteosana. Liitteistä löytyy myös opinnäytetyöntekijän kirjoittama englanninkielinen tiivistelmä, jonka perusteella hän tuli kongressin lautakunnan valitsemaksi esiintyjäksi.
Opinnäytetyöntekijän saaman palautteen perusteella esityksen voi sanoa onnistuneen hyvin. Kongressivieraat osoittivat mielenkiintoa sekä esitystä että puhujaa kohtaan. Myös opinnäytetyöntekijä itse koki onnistuneensa. Opinnäytetyö on toteutettu yhteistyössä Suomen Röntgenhoitajaliiton kanssa.Radiographer training in Finland – oral presentation in ISRRT 2010 World Congress. This is a functional Bachelor’s final project. It involves theoretical background and the product. The subject of this final project is to give an oral presentation in an international congress about the radiographer training in Finland. The purpose of the product was to plan, give and evaluate an oral presentation in an international congress. It aimed to give information to the listeners about the radiographer training in Finland.
The problems of this final project were: What is the radiographer training in Finland like? What is speech communication? How to plan, give and evaluate an oral presentation for an international congress about radiographer training in Finland? Radiographer training, radiographer’s occupation, speech communication and factors/issues involved in giving a presentation were processed in the theoretical background of this final project. The presentation was made according to the theoretical background and the plan. Implementation and evaluation of it was reported in the end of this final project.
The presentation was given in a ISRRT (International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists) 2010 World Congress that was held in Gold Coast Queensland, Australia from the 9th – 12th of September 2010. There were approximately 50 listeners during my presentation. The presentation was allocated 15 minutes including time for the questions. A PowerPoint –show, the slides of which are attached to the final project, was made for the presentation. An English abstract was submitted by the presenter, in order to be accepted to the congress, and it is attached to the thesis.
The presentation was well received according to the feedback that was given to the presenter. The audience expressed interest towards both presentation and presenter. The author herself also felt it was successful. The thesis was implemented in conjunction with the Society of Radiographers in Finland
