Tämä opinnäytetyö käsittelee tavaran varastoinnin ja vastaanottoprosessin kehittämistä. Tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa Teknoware Oy:n ulkoistettujen varastointipalvelujen tarve, kehittää saapuvan tavaran vastaanottoa sekä löytää ratkaisu piirilevyjen varastointiin.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa käsitellään yleisiä varastoinnin periaatteita, varastoinnin syitä, varastopalvelujen ostoa sekä saapuvan tavaran vastaanottoa. Kvalitatiivisen työn tutkimusmenetelminä käytettiin osallistuvaa havainnointia ja työntekijöiden kanssa käytyjä keskustelunomaisia haastatteluja.
Case-osuudessa laskettiin ensin ulkoistettujen varastointipalvelujen vuosikustannukset ja mahdolliset varastointikustannukset Teknowaren omassa kiinteistössä. Kustannuksia toisiinsa vertaamalla saatiin tietää, kumpi vaihtoehto on yritykselle kannattavampaa. Tutkimuksen perusteella tulokseksi saatiin huomattavaa vuosisäästöä, mikäli yritys muuttaa ulkoistetut varastonsa omaan kiinteistöönsä.
Saapuvan tavaran vastaanoton ja piirilevyjen varastoinnin nykytilanne kartoitettiin ja sen pohjalta esitettiin ratkaisuja löydettyihin ongelmiin. Teknoware Oy:llä on kaksi saapuvan tavaran vastaanottoa, joissa tavaran sisäänkirjaus tehtiin eri järjestyksessä vastaanottotarkastettavien tavaroiden osalta. Tähän esitettiin ratkaisuksi muutosta toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän kautta, jotta sisäänkirjaustoiminnot olisivat yhtenäiset. Toisessa tavaran vastaanotossa ongelmaksi todettiin myös työntekijän liian suuri työmäärä sekä tilojen ahtaus. Tilanteen korjaamiseksi ehdotettiin toisen vastaanottotyöntekijän palkkaamista tai siirtämällä jo joku Teknowarella työskentelevä henkilö auttamaan kiiretilanteissa. Tilanpuutteeseen ehdotettiin muutaman parkkipaikan poistamista ja niiden tilalle uusien katosten rakentamista.
Piirilevyjen varastoinnin ongelmana olivat varastointitilat. Nimikkeitä on satoja ja tilauserien kokojen vaihtelevuuden takia monet hyllyt olivat turhaan tyhjillään. Myös jos eräkoko muuttui suuremmaksi, hyllyssä ei ollut tarpeeksi tilaa. Tämä aiheutti paljon ylimääräistä aikaa vievää järjestelyä. Ratkaisuksi ehdotettiin vaakakaruselli-varastointiautomaatin hankkimista.This thesis deals with the improvement of warehousing and the reception process of goods. The purpose of the study was to identify the needs of Teknoware Ltd's outsourced storage services, to develope the process of incoming goods reception, as well as to find a storage solution for circuit boards.
In the empirical section, i.e., the case study, annual costs of outsourced storage services and the potential costs of storage in Teknoware’s own building were first calculated. By comparing the costs of these two areas the results would show which option was more profitable for the company. The study results showed that there would be significant annual savings for the company if they changed the outsourced warehouses to their own buildings.
The current situation of incoming goods reception and storage of circuit boards were surveyed and based on the results solutions to problematic areas were presented. Teknoware Ltd has two incoming goods receptions where the goods are signed in in different order for the inspection and acceptance of goods. A solution was presented whereby the ERP system would be changed in order to integrate the signing in functions. In the second reception of goods area employees had problems with the large amount of work and crowded facilities. To remedy this situation a solution was suggested whereby the case company would hire a second reception employee or transfer a person already working at Teknoware to assist during busy times. To solve the problem of overcrowding the removal of parking lots and replacing them with new canopy constructions were suggested.
The storage facility was the problem for the storage of the circuit boards. There are hundreds of articles, ordering sizes varied, and many shelves were empty. And when the batch size increased there was not enough shelf space. This caused a lot of extra time-consuming arrangements. The proposed solution was for the case company to purchase a Horizontal Carousel storage machine
