Its direct interaction with the brain allows it to be used to evaluate the cognitive function of the human brain, and there have been related studies. But for the methods and applications of tactile cognitive function, such research is insufficient. because this research process in this area is limited by test methods and tactile devices, to improve these, we have proposed new test methods and developed equipment according to the requirements of this method. In this paper, we will explore the tactile test method, the test and application evaluation of the method, the equipment developed according to this method, and the nature of the method in the active area of the brain. Chapter 1 introduces the concept of various methods of tactile cognition. The different tactile cognition methods and tactile evaluation are reviewed. Finally, it briefly introduces the research purpose and content of the thesis. Chapter 2 introduces the two-alternative forced choice (2AFC) method was used to evaluate the subjects’ angle discrimination ability. It also proposed to use Gaussian cumulative function to fit the ratio of subjects choosing large angles, and then use the variance of the fitting function as an evaluation parameter which we call the discrimination index. We compared the commonly used discrimination threshold and discrimination index evaluation methods.  Chapter 3 introduces the evaluation method of angle sorting that we proposed a new method. We designed a paradigm for the angle sorting experiment and established a sorting evaluation method based on the results. The discrimination index can also be calculated by the sorting evaluation method.  Chapter 4 describes the system developed according to the angle sorting method. The equipment has been tested for hardware and software. Then, different groups of people who include young, old, mild cognitive patients and Alzheimer’s, were recruited to conduct system and method evaluation tests. Chapter 5 puts forward conclusions based on the results of experiments. And elaborating on the future challenges. In conclusion, our proposed method of angle sorting can be used for the evaluation of touch cognition. Specifically, the test method can greatly improve the test's efficiency and distinguish the different cognitive groups through such a test. The combination of the system and the evaluation algorithm software greatly improves the use of non-specialists. In addition, such a discrimination method involves the primary somatosensory cortex and higher cognitive functions of touch in human brain cognition, which can also reflect human cognitive ability. The discrimination performance obtained by using touch perspective sequencing can improve the cognitive evaluation of people very well. 論文審査結果の要旨 触覚は人間にとって，重要な役割を果たす。人間は触覚による物の形を弁別する場合は多くの脳領域の賦活を必要とし，触覚入力・空間認知・短期記憶・判断などの一連の作業が必要となる。一方で認知症の症状として，短期記憶や判断などの高次脳機能が低下するため，認知症の進行に伴う触覚認知能力の低下の確認による認知症のスクリーニングは有効であると考えられる。先行研究では，人間の指先触覚に注目し，健常な高齢者と認知症患者を用いて，指先触覚による角度弁別能力の違いを明らかにした。その結果，触覚角度弁別能力によって早期に認知症を発見できることが示唆された。しかし，従来の検査装置は，検査時間が長く（３０分以上）かつ高価であるため，実際の応用に向けた検査時間の短縮と安価な検査装置が求められている。本研究では，この要請に応えるために，人間の触覚角度弁別特性を明らかにし，新たな検査装置を開発することを目指している。 本研究は，検査時間の短縮を目指して角度並べ替え法の開発に成功し，従来の二肢強制選択法（2AFC）を用いた場合の検査時間を５分以内に短縮できた。さらに，本手法では検査に必要な触覚刺激の数は１０程度であり，安価（数万円程度）な検査装置とすることができる。これらの研究成果は学術論文誌に１報，国際会議論文集に２報の論文として掲載された。また，この手法では，従来の認知症診断の問診テストでよく見られる患者の生活環境などの主観的な影響が無く，客観性の高い検査手法として認知症早期発見につながると期待されている。 以上のことより，本論文は学術上および医工学上貢献するところが多い。よって本論文は，博士（統合科学）の学位として価値あるものと認める。
