Dispositivi mobili e applicazioni nell’educazione infantile

Abstract

The popularity of smart mobile devices is growing every day. Censis-Ucsi Report on communication 2020 shows that in recent years tablets have doubled their circulation and are present in more than a quarter of Italian homes and in most cases the owners are families with children. Within this socio-technological scenario, parents find themselves experiencing a very delicate and complex choice, while on the one hand they buy mobile devices for the potential educational benefits at the same time they have little knowledge and few tools with which to evaluate the quality of applications. The choice of age-appropriate content is not sufficient to guarantee a qualitative selection of content itself. It is therefore necessary to have a standard recognized by the scientific community and an evaluation system capable of determining the quality and educational value of applications destinated for the childhood world
