Każda wypowiedź przynależy do określonej sfery działania człowieka, czyli dyskursu, a także do określonego gatunku, który jest wyrazem celowości działania i narzędziem skutecznego porozumiewania się.
Autorka tekstu koncentruje się na zagadnieniu manipulacji, która dotyczy relacji między komunikującymi podmiotami, a więc jest strategią w wymiarze dyskursu. Zastanawia się nad manipulacją na poziomie gatunku, a następnie stara się przedstawić trzy strategie maskujące wypowiedź przytaczaną, jej źródła i intencje. Przykłady pochodzą z prasowych gatunków informacyjnych. Rozważania przedstawione w artykule sytuują się w epistemologii francuskiej teorii dyskursu.Every statement pertains to a particular scope of man’s functioning, that is to a discourse, and also to the specified genre, which is the functioning purposefulness expression and the instrument of effective communicating. Author of the text concentrates on a matter of manipulation, which applies to relation between communicating subjects, and therefore becomes a strategy in the dimension of discourse. Author considers manipulation on the genre level, then endeavours to submit three strategies obscuring the quoting statement, along with it’s sources and intentions. Examples come from information – press genres. Deliberations presented in the article situate in the epistemology of French discourse theory
