Abstract
This paper aims to research different social networks, their ranking and where they have been used with greater assertiveness; as well as to provide some recommendations on how they can be used in the academic field. The article is based on a literature review and an exegetical analysis of the information found. It was discovered that these networks are used in greater percentage in the business world for transacting business; in social communication for reporting in real time events and situations that occur anywhere around the world. On the educational level, although they are in use, the same have not still been explored fully.
Este escrito tiene como objetivo indagar sobre las diferentes redes sociales, su posición y donde han sido utilizadas con mayor asertividad, así como brindar algunas recomendaciones sobre cómo pueden ser utilizadas en el mundo académico. El artículo se fundamenta en una revisión bibliográfica y el análisis exegético de la información encontrada. Se detectó que estas redes son utilizadas en mayor proporción en el mundo empresarial para realizar transacciones de negocios; para la comunicación social e informar en tiempos reales sucesos y situaciones que se producen en cualquier lugar de la geografía mundial. En el plano educativo, si bien se están utilizando, no han sido exploradas aún en todo su potencial
