HUBUNGAN PENERAPAN BREASTFEEDING FATHER TERHADAP SIKAP IBU DALAM PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is giving breastfood without additional food for infants 0-6 months. According to preliminary survey carried out by researchers in Pasaman, the scope of exclusive breastfeeding simultantly low for 46%, because of lack of husband support. Research purposes was to analyze the application of husband to support in exclusive breastfeeding Pasaman public health center 2017. Research was conducted in  may to april 2017 with cross-sectional method. Sample  involved 81 couples, and sample technique using slovin formulas, by using questionnaire. The result the implementation of husband involvement in breastfeeding showed 61,7 % for good, and mother exclusive breastfeeding is 56,8 % for good. Correlation obtained for p-value 0,000 which means Ho rejected. Obtained value 6.957 means that respondents who had husband involvement in breastfeeding have a good chance 6.957 times for mother provision for exclusive breastfeeding support better than husband involvement in breastfeeding. There is a correlation for husband involvement in breastfeeding to mother provision for exclusive breastfeeding in Pasaman public health center 2017. It was expected to health care provider to increase health education, especially about the importance of husband support to mother provision in exclusive breastfeeding
