The Council of Hope College met in special session with Dr. Albertus C. Van Raalte in the chair. A letter from Pres. Philip Phelps Jr. was read, explaining his absence. A letter from Rev. Walter Beardslee was read. He declined the position offered him as Financial Agent. Then Prof. Charles Scott was elected Financial Agent but he declined also.
