Neste trabalho, a questão da interação em contexto digital, especificamente naquele voltado para o ensino/aprendizagem e para a formação de professores de línguas, é discutida sob a perspectiva das teorias da Complexidade. Partindo de autores como Morin & Le Moigne (2000), Bertalanffy (1973), Piaget (1973), Martins (2008), dentre outros, argumenta-se em favor do entendimento da sala de aula online ou híbrida como um sistema complexo e da decorrente imprescindibilidade da interação para a emergência sistêmica e para a aprendizagem. INTERACTION AND THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSROOM IN DIGITAL CONTEXTS: A COMPLEX PERSPECTIVE ABSTRACT: In this text, the issue of interaction in digital context, specifically in those contexts both of language learning and language teacher education, is approached under the perspective of Complexity theories. Based on authors like Morin & Le Moigne (2000), Bertalanffy (1973), Piaget (1973), Martins (2008), we argue for both the assumption that the online or hybrid classroom is a complex system and the consequent indispensability of interaction for system emergence and for learning.
