TRADISI PERHITUNGAN WETON UNTUK MENENTUKAN HARI NIKAH DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM ISLAM (STUDI KASUS DI DESA ARGOSUKO KE CAMATAN PONCOKUSUMO)

Abstract

Marriage is a sunnah of Allah SWT that is recommended to His servants. Of course, in marriage, each region has its own customs or habits, in Javanese traditional society, before marriage, they will carry out the weton tradition or determine the wedding day with the date of birth of the bride and groom. Especially in Argosuko Village, Poncokusumo District, Malangpyang Regency which is still thick with the tradition of calculating weton in everyday life, including marriage. The type of research that the author uses is a field research that uses qualitative research methods. While the technique of collecting observations, interviews and documentation.From this research, it can be concluded that the tradition of calculating the days of marriage in Argosuko Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency is a habit (urf) that is carried out before marriage by adding up the birthdays of the prospective partner to determine the heart or a good month in marriage.
