The objective of this article was to analyze administrative management as a fundamental factor for productivity in small and medium-sized companies through the information obtained from the documentary review and theoretical foundations of several authors, which allowed a precise analysis of the variables of the subject matter; For the development of the methodology, the qualitative and quantitative paradigmatic modalities were applied, the type of research was explanatory, bibliographic and exploratory; the methods used were: analytical-synthetic, historical-logical, descriptive and inductive and deductive; the technique that was adopted was the interview and as tools: questionnaire of questions, computer, printer, sheets, notebook, eraser, pens; the scope of the work was based on the fulfillment of the objectives, the theoretical, methodological and technical support; whose results, if put into practice, will serve for effective administrative management and greater productivity in small and medium-sized companies.El objetivo del presente artículo fue analizar la gestión administrativa como factor fundamental para la productividad en las pequeñas y medianas empresas mediante la información obtenida de la revisión documental y fundamentos teóricos de varios autores, permitieron realizar el análisis preciso sobre las variables de la temática abordada; para el desarrollo de la metodología se aplicaron las modalidades paradigmáticas cualitativa y cuantitativa, el tipo de investigación fue explicativa, bibliográfica y exploratoria; los métodos utilizados fueron: analítico-sintético, histórico lógico, descriptivo e inductivo y deductivo; la técnica que se adopto fue la entrevista y como herramientas: cuestionario de preguntas, computadora, impresora, hojas, cuaderno, borrador, lapiceros; para el alcance del trabajo se tuvo como base el cumplimiento de los objetivos, el sustento teórico, metodológico y técnico; cuyos resultados de ser puestos en la práctica servirán para la efectiva gestión administrativa y mayor productividad en las pequeñas y medianas empresas
