Delivering the high levels of reliability and availability required of business-to-business Web sites requires not only advanced technology, but also great operational processes. Building a scalable, highly available application is a necessary process in becoming functional as an e-commerce entity. As the Project Manager for the development of a Motor Carrier Web-based Application developing the modules required in an online system, using IBM\u27s WebSphere Java-based tools that have allowed me and the developers that I manage to create a sophisticated Web-based application. The central WebSphere tool is the WebSphere Application Server (WAS), an application server that will be used to connect Web site users with Java applications and servlets. All Motor Carrier business information, billing information, etc. will be stored in Oracle 9i relational databases. All of the key processes; Use Case diagrams, Use Case specifications, and system requirements are briefly discussed in this document and covered more in depth in the Project Analysis document. I have included with this documentation a preliminary application prototype that was developed from analysis of Use Case documentation as well as analysis of the system requirements
