El presente artículo identifica y propone lineamientos éticos, legales, técnicos y procedimentales que debe seguir el proceso de conformación y gestión de colecciones osteológicas humanas de interés forense. Para ello se realizó una revisión de literatura sobre este tópico a nivel nacional y mundial que reafirma la naturaleza no-renovable de dichas colecciones, identifica su valor científico irremplazable y recoge experiencias, aprendizajes y recomendaciones que se deben considerar en su conformación y preservación. Así, se presenta entonces una propuesta de gestión integral de dicho material osteológico humano en cada una de sus etapas, que no sólo preserve la integridad de dichas muestras, sino que además garantice su carácter cultural y valor científico para la antropología forense y demás disciplinas del ámbito de la identificación humana.Universidad Libre - Instituto de posgrados- Facultad de Derecho - Esp. en Ciencias Forenses y Técnica ProbatoriaThis article identifies and proposes ethical, legal, technical and procedural guidelines to be followed by the process of formation and management of human osteological collections of forensic interest. For this, a literature review on this topic was carried out at a national and global level that reaffirms the non-renewable nature of these collections, identifies their irreplaceable scientific value and collects experiences, learning and recommendations that should be considered in their formation and preservation.
