Abstract
Naziv mesnate svinje, ili svinje za proizvodnju mesa, ustaljen je u praksi i prihvaćen u stručnoj literaturi kao određeni smjer proizvodnje. Ovaj način označuje svinje mesnatih pasmina utovljene od 90 do 130 kilograma tjelesne težine. Na našem tržištu se najčešće traže svinje tjelesne težine od 100 do 115 kilograma i uzrasta šest do osam mjeseci. Područje vukovarsko-srijemske županije je najznačajniji proizvođač svinja i svinjskog mesa u Hrvatskoj. Upravo tome u prilog idu i podaci o ukupnom broju rasplodnih svinja pod kontrolom proizvodnosti. Smanjenje broja krmača i suprasnih nazimica predstavlja poseban problem, a pri tome treba spomenuti da je riječ i o jedinkama visoke plodnosti, brzog porasta, jednostrano selekcioniranih na visok prinos mesa s malim utroškom hrane i istovremeno jedinkama slabih adaptivnih vrijednosti, odnosno nesposobnih da opstanu u lošim uvjetima držanja, neodgovarajućeg mikroklimata i neodgovarajuće hranidbe.Name fleshy pigs, or pigs for meat production, established in practice and accepted in the scientific literature as a specific direction of production. This method indicates the pigs fattened meaty breeds of 90-130 kg of body weight. In our market, pigs weighing between 100 and 115 kilograms and between six and eight months are most often required. Vukovar-Srijem County is one of the most significant producer of pigs and pork meat in Croatia.Precisely this is also supported by data on the total number of breeding pigs under control productivity. Reducing the number of sows and pregnant gilts is a particular problem, but at the same time it should be mentioned that this is about the individuals of high fertility, rapid increase, unilaterally selected for high meat yield with little expenditure of food and at the same time individuals bad adaptive value, that is unfit to survive in poor conditions keeping, inadequate microclimate and inadequate nutrition
