Job satisfaction of the employees of the Home for elderly and infirm persons Osijek

Abstract

Cilj istraživanja. Ispitati koji su segmenti posla kojima su zaposleni više ili manje zadovoljni te postoji li razlika u zadovoljstvu poslom između zdravstvenih i nezdravstvenih djelatnika. Nacrt studije. Presječna studija. Ispitanici i metode. Ispitanici su bili djelatnici radnih jedinica Doma za stare i nemoćne osobe. Ispitivanjem je obuhvaćeno 42 djelatnika zdravstvene jedinice i 38 djelatnika nezdravstvenih jedinica, dakle, ukupno 80 ispitanika. Za ispitivanje zadovoljstva poslom korišten je Upitnik zadovoljstva poslom. Navedeni upitnik sadrži 20 tvrdnji koje su grupirane u pet kategorija. Rezultati. U domeni zadovoljstva suradnicima, više ispitanika se slaže ili se u potpunosti slaže s tvrdnjom da im suradnici nisu glupi, da su inteligentni i da nisu dosadni. Dvadeset devet ispitanika (47 %) navodi da se slažu s tvrdnjom da im je nadređeni taktičan. Kod zadovoljstva samim poslom 16 ispitanika (26 %) smatra da im njihov posao predstavlja izazov. Da im posao pruža zadovoljstvo slaže se 29 ispitanika (47 %), a za 25 (41%) posao pruža osjećaj ispunjenosti. Samo se 6 ispitanika (10 %) slaže ili se u potpunosti slaže s tvrdnjom da su dobro plaćeni. Niti jedan ispitanik ne slaže se s tvrdnjom da u njihovoj ustanovi postoje dobre mogućnosti za napredovanje. Da su im pogodnosti za napredovanje prilično ograničene u njihovoj ustanovi smatraju 34 ispitanika (55 %). Zaključak. Ispitanici zdravstvene struke su značajnije više zadovoljni svojim rukovoditeljem i napredovanjem u poslu u odnosu na nezdravstvene struke. Nema značajne razlike u ukupnom zadovoljstvu poslom između zdravstvenih i nezdravstvenih djelatnika.Study goal. To examine which job segments the employees are more or less satisfied with, and whether there is a difference in job satisfaction between health and non-health workers. Study design. A cross-sectional study. Methods and participants. The respondents were staff members of Home for Elderly and Disabled Persons. The survey encompassed 42 health care staff and 38 staff members of non-health units, a total of 80 respondents. Job satisfaction survey was used to test job satisfaction. The questionnaire contains 20 statements that are grouped into five categories. Results. In the domain of satisfaction with associates, more people agree or fully agree with the statement that their associates are not stupid, intelligent and not boring. 29 (47%) claim to agree with the statement that their superior is tactical. With satisfaction with the job, 16 (26%) of respondents think that their job is a challenge. 29 (47%) of respondents agree that their job offers satisfaction, and 25 (41%) job offers a sense of fulfillment. Only 6 (10%) of respondents agree or fully agree with the claim that they are well paid. No respondent disagrees with the statement that there are good opportunities for progress in their institution. 34 (55%) of respondents agreed that their progression benefits were rather limited in their institution. Conclusion. Health care professionals are much more satisfied with their manager and advancement in work than the non-health profession. There is no significant difference in overall job satisfaction between health and non-health workers
